I just want the graphics card to be more than a lame 64MB. Every other manufacturer on the planet has at least 128 in their notebooks shared or otherwise.
I would buy a Macbook in a heart beat if they did that. Hell... With the money I'll save from buying a Macbook pro I might get two one black and one white.
I would actually take that kind of change over an HD or RAM boost since that's
one of the components you can't upgrade.

voice control sucks for those who don't speak English. As it will of course be optimized for English and other languages won't be as effective in recognizing what is being said.

Mac users pay... $129! Windows users pay... $399! Which is cheaper?Your little scenario is completely unrealistic. I know you want to throw that big $399 number around to try and prove your point, but please stop, it's pointless.
Someone upgrading from XP to Vista will either buy the upgrade version of Vista or if they are smart they will buy the full version oem. Your reasonable max amount to upgrade to Vista Ultimate is $259.00 and that's the MSRP (it wont stay $259). Plus you are assuming everyone is going to upgrade to ultimate, I know you don't want to mention that many people will uprgrade to home basic which is cheaper than OSX.
An oem full install of Vista ultimate will be under $200 based on the retail to oem pricing of all of Microsoft's OS's since win95. I expect an oem of Vista Ultimate will be about $180 at Newegg within 6 months to a year of it's release.
Retail box sales of windows is a tiny tiny fraction of the total sales of windows. It just makes those that continue to bring it up look silly because you don't understand the PC market. I've used PCs for over 20 years and have never known anyone who's purchased a full retail version of windows. I've used apple comps for over 25 years now too.

I just went to Scotsys and John Lewis in Edinburgh to eye up the new nanos, and neither of them had them. <disappointed> :(
Give it a few days. I've so far only found them in London at the Apple Store itself. They are worth the wait :)

Ah - but it isn't as many as 50 % of the gun crimes that are done by black men. This is just racist propaganda from a statistics-generator which has been pre-programmed to disfavour people with non-English names. The next statement will probably be that more than half of the honour killings in the United Kingdom are done by people from Pakistan or Arab countries, which will be just as absurd. In some cultures, it's acceptable (or even expected) to use violence to get what one wants, and we have to tolerate each other as we are. Dialogue and Understanding.
But culture is not above the law of the country you are currently in. If you use violence to get your on way in a country which has zero tolerance of it, you should be punished in accordance with those laws.
In regard to the Aunt Jemima/Uncle Ben thing. I would be willing to say that most Black people in the UK don't know these brands were formed from slave based stereotypes. I'd also say that these people aren't positive black role models. I'd say Condaleeza Rice and Barack Obama would be much better role models than stylized remnants of a time when slavery was seen as being ok in the Southern States.
Also, with kids not able to get into college in the US, my fianc�e used to work for an organization which helped minority kids prepare for and get into colleges. She found that Black males were more likely to get free rides than black females, some of the boys had awful back stories with little male positive role models but with the right encouragement for them, they were able to do well through school and get into colleges. Unfortunately not enough people are willing to put their time and effort into this. I would love to volunteer in the future and help kids in the area I'll be living in get into college, but I'm afraid with my background (white british/irish and british accent) it would be hard for the boys to relate to me. It is something I'd love to try though, hopefully introducing rugby in the area too, a game which has the 'positive' aspects of being in a gang, but none of the negative ones.
Another thing, gun ownership in the UK is very rare. So the fact that gangs which unfortunately have a make up (proportionally in London) of Black, Turkish, Kurdish and White boys means that gang members are more likely to be carrying weapons than other members of the population. In Manchester and Liverpool it's different with poor white kids from council estates being the main issue.
I think papers like the Telegraph and to a much higher degree, The Daily Mail, like to sensationalise statistics like this. Unfortunately they should be doing more to find ways of helping people rather than perpetuate the stereotypes and generate fear.

Yep. Mine is within range, and it tell ms the battery is invalid! :(
Furthermore, tried calling support all day, and it said they couldn't serve me right now.
I want this new battery. My battery isn't very good anymore, and I wasn't wanting to spend $120. Now (hopefully) I won't have to! :)

I went over a store lately where they sell macs and other stuff like fridges , phones , televisions , pc's , ...
In that store I was interested in the 17" mbp and the salesman said it was the last one they had and they gave a discount of �200 because they couldn't order a new one.
Then I made the hard choice :( of waiting till the new one comes out.
So only buy when you really need it.:D

I've changed my mind on this one. I used to be in the "kill Flash, please" group but there have been plenty of times now when I've been on travel with just my iPhone and have been unable to use a site which incorporates Flash (rightly or wrongly) as part of its critical user interface. Being able to turn on Flash support, suffering briefly through a period of high battery drain and slow response, and then turning it off again is a much smaller inconvenience than either carrying around a separate and otherwise un-needed device or simply being dead in the water.

Yes more megapixel isn't everything and Apple proved it with their 5MP camera compared to those 8MP camera on other phones.
BUT don't forget that Apple will not just upgrade to 8MP but the lens also!
With a better lens and more MP the iPhone 5 camera quality will really shine!

I was 17 in senior in high school when iPod was introduced, though I don't think I was even aware of it. I had a friend that year who had some kind of horrible "mp3 player" and the next year when I moved into my college dorm someone on my floor had an iPod so I played with one for the first time. My first one was the light blue first-gen mini which I bought sometime in 2004 (which still works...I gave it to my mother when I replaced it with an iPhone on launch day 2007). When my crappy Dell laptop that had been my high school graduation present died a few months later, the iPod convinced me to get my first Mac.
I hope they don't discontinue the classic just for the nostalgia factor =)

The usual answer would be: start with a new source, and compress that to 640x480. If you start with a video that's already 320x240, you can't expect it to look better if you later try to re-encode it to a larger screen size. Can't get data from nowhere... can't get blood from a stone.

I'm not sure many would agree with you on that. Apple has always been a hardware company. Just because their software drives their hardware doesn't mean they are software focused. If they were primarily a software company, they would have gone the way of Microsoft and put out MacOS to run on any generic PC box. But we all know their take on that. Just to drive my point home, when was the last time Apple released a piece of software that people went nuts about and stood in lines for hours to get?
