Akshay, Deepika have a blast with kids at the POGO Amazing Kids Awards '08

There is no denying the fact that Akshay Kumar has a huge fan following all over the world and across different age-groups but among his biggest fans are the 'bachcha log' of this country. Akshay 'Khiladi' Kumar was invited as the special guest at the recently held POGO Amazing Kids Awards 2008 and needless to say the kids went berserk.

Akshay was present along with his co-star Deepika Padukone as a part of the promotions of their upcoming flick Chandni Chowk To China. In keeping with the theme of the film, Akshay gave an electrifying action-packed performance along with the Shaolin Monks (kids from the famous Shaolin Temple). Knowing Akshay's fondness for martial arts, the superstar surely must have had a ball of a time kicking some butt with the tiny tots.

Actress Deepika Padukone, who was not supposed to perform, joined the kids on stage for an impromptu jig and must say the kids couldn't have asked for more.

Speaking on the occasion Monica Tata, Vice President and Deputy Manager Entertainment Networks, South Asia, Turner International India Private Limited (TIIPL) said, "This is our fifth year of POGO Amazing Kids Awards and we are glad to have created India's first kids' television award that voices the choice of kids, as well as recognizes and rewards talent of such young and brilliant kids." She also added, "In addition, POGO's signature event continues to draw Bollywood's biggest stars, and this year, we are happy to collaborate with Warner Bros' movie Chandni Chowk To China. The movie effectively demonstrates our 'Dream Bigger' theme, and the presence of admired celebrities such as Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone at our awards made the evening even more memorable."

Nikhil Advani, director of Chandni Chowk To China commented on his association with POGO, "My daughter loves POGO, it is the only channel that runs in my house and hence a tie-up with POGO is the only way I can see my movie promos on TV."
