Bewigged and big binned fashion guru stitched his last at the ripe old age of 71 due to brain cancer (gah).
It's been a bad month for actors we like this month seeing as the Grim Reaper has not only snatched Mel Ferrer, big chinned ex hubbie of ultra hottie Audrey Hepburn plus film director, producer and star of such hits as Nightmare City, Eaten Alive and War and Peace at the age of 90 but also Robert J. Anderson (young George Bailey from It's a Wonderful Life), David Brierley (the second voice of K-9), the owner of Russ Meyer's onscreen voice, John Furlong and teevee genre fave Don Sinclair Davis, better known as Major Briggs in Twin Peaks, Scully's dad in The X Files and that bloke in Stargate: SG 1.
Stan Winston, the American Academy Award–winning special effects and make-up artist plus director of Pumpkin Head and designer of everything from Edward Scissorhands, The Penguin in Batman Returns and Jeff Predator went to the big latex head in the sky alongside lusciously leggy dancer cum actress Cyd Charisse. most folk remember her from Singin' in the Rain but to us she'll always be the shimmery suited, magnificently thighed Atlantean badgirl in Warlords of Atlantis.
Kanbe Miyuki ultra cute star of the live action Sailor Moon, Battle Royale II and Kamen Rider Hibiki passed away from heart failure at the age of 24.
There were tears on Sesame Street too as Kermit Love, weirdy beared Muppets puppeteer and creator of Big Bird died of heart failure aged 91 and Bill and Ted's groovy sidekick Rufus, AKA comedian and actor George Carlin air guitared himself into oblivion at the age of 71.
Finally we said goodbye to Michael Turner, the American comic book artist primarily known for his work on Witchblade, Fathom, Superman, Batman and more importantly making Supergirl look hot again.
